Decabromodiphenyl Ethane is a white powder, the formula is C14H4Br10, molecular weight is at 971.2. It is insoluble in water, ethanol, acetone, benzene and chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons. It is a eco-friendly, broad-spectrum and high-efficiency flame retardant additive. It has high bromine content, good thermal stability, good UV resistance and low exudation compared to other brominated flame retardants; It is suitable for the production of high-grade materials such as computers, fax machines, telephones, copiers, home appliances, etc.
There will be none PBDO or PBDF when Decabromodiphenyl Ethane is in pyrolysis or combustion. DBDPE has no toxicity, no teratogenicity to organisms, and no effects on aquatic organisms such as fish. DBDPE is very stable and the flame retardant thermoplastics can be recycled.
Decabromodiphenyl Ethane is an excellent substitute product for Decabromodiphenyl Oxide.
