Decabromodiphenyl Oxide is a white powder, the formula is C12Br10O, molecular weight is at 959.2. It is insoluble in water, ethanol, acetone, benzene, slightly soluble in chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons. It is a broad-spectrum and high-efficiency flame retardant additive. It has high bromine content, low added amount, good thermal stability, high flame retardant efficiency and wide application.
Used as flame retardant additive for adhesive, it has excellent thermal stability. When used in combination with antimony trioxide, it has obvious synergistic effect, higher flame retardancy and good thermal stability.
